Sunday Services & Testimony Meetings

Weekly Sunday Services: 10:00 am to 11:00 am

Our Sunday services are devoted to receiving inspiration, understanding, comfort, guidance, and healing from God’s Word. The Bible is the basis and focal point of our church services. In addition to a Scriptural reading and a biblical benediction at the end, the main part of the Sunday service consists of listening and pondering The Weekly Christian Science Bible Lesson-Sermon that is comprised of Bible passages and correlative passages from the Christian Science textbook, Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy. These two inspired books together serve as our pastor.

The Sunday services are conducted by two lay readers elected by church members. The First Reader reads the passages from the Christian Science textbook during the Lesson-Sermon, while the Second Reader reads the Bible citations. These services also include silent prayer followed by the audible repetition of the prayer that all Christians share: the Lord’s Prayer.

Music is an important part of our services. We sing several hymns as a congregation, and we also enjoy listening to a solo, and to beautiful organ music.

Testimony Meetings: First Sunday of each month at 11:00 am

Our monthly Testimony Meetings are 35-45 minutes. We listen to readings compiled from the Bible and Science and Health by one of our Readers. Topics focus on subjects important to daily life, such as supply, health, forgiveness, and relationships.

After the readings, members and attendees are invited to share informal testimonies of how an understanding of God’s power heals discords of every kind.
